Badass Avenue: Live The American Dream

Badass Avenue: Live The American Dream

Posted on 30 January 2012 by Odd

I can’t do the up late multiple nights in a row. I need my beauty rest in order to be functional I guess.

I meant to touch briefly on the fact that I was mentoring a high school student, but it accidently ended up consuming the conversation for this episode. As usual we weaved in and out of many topics and ideas.

So sit back and take it all in.

Our opening song was The American Dream by Klover Jane
Our closing song was Pretty Nipples by The Disgruntled Bastards

We covered a wider range of topics, zipping back and forth weaving a tapestry of OMG SHITS FUCKED UP and then offered a solution or two on how to fix things. Sadly, nobody will like them.

We went back to the no music formula and it seems to work for Sunday nights. So I think we are going to rock it like that for a while longer. I enjoy opening the show with one really fitting song, then closing things out with another apropos track.

One of the things we talked about last night was a comment and and couple of message by a facebook user named Bobby McAnus (not real name) about my love for BBW. I posted a picture of London Andrews in a beautiful classy red dress. And well look at the image we cobbled together of Mr. McAnus’ comments.

Now, I don’t get why he felt the need to be a giant economy size douche. His comments are wholey insensitive and sound like the chatterings of the brainwashed masses. His hipster style and sensibilities seem to give way to a total lack of decency and compassion. So I want you all to go to the facebook page created in his honor and tell Mr. McAnus what an asshole he is or at least share your love for the thick girls.

Man, what a show! Last night was amazing, we tried a new format where we didn’t play any music except for at the beginning and the end. My guest was a good friend of the show Rev. Grim Pickins (a.k.a. Wally Wojciechowski). Grim had

called me a week or so ago and asked if he could come on the show cuz he had a few complaints. I said OF COURSE and well what follows is the result of that decision.

Personally I think this was one of the best BadAss Avenues to date. Between the phone and the chat room we had this show humming like a finely tunes vibrator. Not to mention the fact that I seemed to be on a roll with terminologies last night. I especially liked the Tebow comment.
God’s Chosen People – Sista OtisThe two songs played were.

Cry For The World And Wait – Miss Information Age

Last night, merely for shits and giggles I threw on my son’s spy glasses and shot a bit of video during our broadcast. The quality is low, but you get to see the inner workings!

Badass Avenue: The Badass Returns

Badass Avenue: The Badass Returns

Posted on 10 January 2012 by Odd

We’ve returned from the fog of complication only to prove why we remain your favorite station. Welcome folks to the first episode of 2012 and it was as real as we can get. Our topic was sex, relationships and cheaters. More specifically how cheating is bullshit and that most folks just need to open up to their partners before opening up to a stranger or just some strange.

Isaac, Liz and I were stunned by a recent article from Huffington Post. I was originally the one who read it and in a rare bit of urgency, decided to write a blog about why I thought the book the article talked about was utter garbage. Not just in content, but the authors whole process for finding his numbers and building his argument. To get caught up go read ME!? OLD FASHIONED? while you listen to this episode.

I mention all the songs played during the show, so I am going to save myself some time and just post this bad boy without the track list. In a bit of a rush today and will come back and put the track list up if you guys deem it so. Please keep all comments here on the blog post and not over on facebook.

Despite how wrong the title sounds, this show actually had some heavy content. Isaac and I went toe to teo on our beliefs and though we don’t believe what each other is saying, thankfully we can respect each other enough to be able to say it freely.

I know my opinions are rarely the popular ones, but I still believe in everything I say and everything I do. I am not out to make anyone feel good or happy with my views, I call it as I see it and leave it up to you the listener to make up your own minds about what has been provided to you.

I have said before, people either love me or the hate me. Very few have found the middle ground of like. I don’t mind because I figure you should be you no matter what and the world just has to kind of deal with it. Just remember, these are just my opinions and I don’t choose to force them on anyone.

This episode is about OWS, and SOPA mostly with a little tongue of Newt thrown in for some fall harvest flavoring. Once again Issac was with us providing me with the ever cheerful optimistic side of things. To which I kindly shoot down at most turns.

Just when I think this country and the men and women who control couldn’t go and do anything dumber than what they already have, there they stand with new levels of stupidity just to prove me wrong and show me a new height of idiocracy.

BAA: Camped Out With Tons Of TALENt

BAA: Camped Out With Tons Of TALENt

Posted on 26 October 2011 by Odd

This show is bulging with throbbing content. First we spoke with Lee Camp, who in my opinion is like a modern day Carlin. Camp is a political comedian/activist who has a Youtube series called Moment Of Clarity that Liz and I have been enthralled with. His views and delivery make it a must watch for the enlightened.

Lee called us via Skype so if the audio seems a bit off that is why.

After we spoke to Mr. Camp we were able to get Reverend Billy Talen to call in and speak about his recent Not Guilty verdict for his Occupation of a UBS lobby to raise awareness about their hands in Mountain Top Removal and the dangers it poses to both environment as well as the health of those in the vicinity of the excavations.

Both men have been rather prominent in the Occupy The World movement and we’re able to give us their takes on what is happening in the country. Spirits seem to be high and everyone is doing their part to bring about a change, to what end is still unclear, but one thing is crystal clear…..WE ARE THE 99% AND WE AREN’T WILLING TO BE WALKED ON ANY LONGER.

BAA: Making Up Is Hard To Do

Posted on 12 October 2011 by Odd

Since we ran into technical difficulties on Sunday, Liz and I decided to give you all the show you were supposed to get. Luckily Isaac was available and able to join us, which I think he found a new respect for me due to the words coming out of my mouth.

I am getting more notoriety for the shows…both locally and abroad. People seem to like what I have to say, but the funny thing to me is that what I am saying isn’t anything new. My job is to be a voice, YOUR VOICE….that is until you are able to find your own voice. Sometimes people just need a catalyst, a spark to set them off onto their own paths towards truth and change.

My message is simple, be your own voice. It’s not my job to tell you what YOU should think, but to only voice my opinions and concerns. It is up to you to form your own opinions, sure sometimes I may be slanted a little more off of the unbiased side of things, but that is fine as long as you go forth and seek out more info beyond what I have said or written.

BAA: Don’t Drink The STERNo

Another absolutely wonderful show. I knew when I scheduled this show that John Cord and Ricki Stern would be a great match. It was so good that John stayed on the line with us for the WHOLE show.

Our topic in this episode was religion and how it has been twisted and perverted into a big business venture for those who are about as Christian as I am a Cadillac. We poked a little fun at all aspects of religion and even delved into politics a bit.

Please feel free to open a dialogue about any of the things we said in this show via our comments section.

MUSIC PLAYED

High Voltage – Wide Awake
Oogee Wawa – Pass Me A Drink
Red Mercury Blues Band – Your Biscuits Rise So Nice
Looney Train – Looney Train Anthem
Daylight Tremor – Our Different Colored Eyes
The Hushdown – Fools Parade

Bootblack Sinners – Princess
Tony Allotta – Umm Is Not An Answer
