Engage fanboy excitement in t-minus….oh screw it, I got to talk to Seanan McGuire (Mira Grant) Author of the novels Feed, Deadline and the yet to be released Blackout. These are zombie stories kids, and they are some of the best reading you could ever hope to do.
Actually be honest the Zombie Apocalypse is really just the framework this great story is hung on. Much more than just tale of terror, this book is a little of everything in one. It’s part techno thriller, part political cautionary tale and part horror story. It all works and I can’t sing it’s praises enough, that being said go to amazon right now and order Feed and Deadline…..while you’re at it, pre-order Blackout too.
After we spoke with Ms. McGuire, we called a woman named Nicole Seidel who is involved with the leukemia walk that Andrew May had mentioned when he was on our show. I knew the walk was today and had be trying to get our schedule to link up so Nicole could tell us more about it. We wish her and her family the best of luck and hope that have a great day at the walk.
After that, Todd Obvious called us to talk about a project he is trying to get off the ground called the New Haven Band Haven. Basically he is trying to raise money for instruments so the urban kids at his school can keep their music program. He is currently trying to get everything setup to except donations, but he doesn’t want just money….if you have an old instrument laying around contact Todd and see if he wants it. Hell, even if you see one a garage sale or something. He’s got a guy that can fix almost anything.
That’s it folks, enjoy this episode and support the causes we support.
