In this episode we take a more serious twist, after the Skittles Song that is. We take a look at what is actually going on in the world around us and decide that it’s high time for a little more honesty in the way we operate. Music God, called in for the later half of the show to discuss what is going on in the city of Cleavland.

Liquid Peace Revolution – Eating The Grass
Fickles Lot – Empathy
As The World Burns – Face Me
Sabuda – Peppermill
Sista Otis – Love Is Spiritual
Two O’clock High – Benny & The Jets
Robert Louis – Take’m Down

Holy carp! Everyone’s favorite Puerto Rican returns to the airwaves in this fully stuffed episode of Breakfast With Odd. We talk all manner of wacky items as well as play you Betty White’s first rap song. Yeah, you read that correctly. Everyone’s favorite golden girl has decided to lay down a few rhymes.
All I know is it’s bean a while since we had our favorite beaner on the show and damn did it feel good to have him back in the Pseudio.

Say what you want about Sister Bertha Bangers and her style of satirical religious humor, but it comes from a honest and heartfelt albeit somewhat heart broken place. The following story is NOT a fabrication to the best of my knowledge, why anyone would make fun of this type of thing is beyond me.
Bertha Bangers is the brain child of a man named Steven Ray, Steven grew up in a rather religious home filled with your typical influences. Raised in a southern baptist home by a man who is described as being “….your classic religious sociopath that…is the biggest, most deceitful, corrupt and perverted church going creep…” which to most of us who know how hypocritical religious people can, should come as no big surprise.
Recently there has been information that has come to light that just can’t go ignored. Bertha posted a note via the social networking site Facebook that has shed some light on how and why her comedic style came to fruition. Supposedly, Steve’s father was an abusive sexual deviant, beating his children and taking advantage of his position as the family patriarch.
According to the note His father molested and possibly has information about the murder of a young mentally handicapped African American boy in the 60′s.
In the 60′s, In Marion IL. there was a young retarded black boy named Cecil Jenkins who was from all accounts….harmless as a dove and a good gentle soul…always smiling…always trusting. That is until the day his body was found murdered at Crenshaw strip pits just north of Marion IL. He died a horrible death but before his brutal killing, he was molested at some point by my church going Southern Baptist “Father”
Sadly, these kinds of stories are more prevalent in the world of organized religion than one would like to think/admit. Thankfully though after many years of silence, witnesses of his fathers heinous actions and behavior are coming forward and telling their stories. They are doing so in an attempt to get this cold case reopened and the man responsible brought to justice.
They say behind every bit of comedy lies a grain of truth, in the case of Sister Bertha Bangers it’s more like a silo of truth. Some of you may be wondering why I care enough to help Steve spread this message, well for one I consider him a friend and I was raised with that mindset that you help friends in times of need and two, there are some parallels between Steve’s life and mine. The only difference being that my father was not a religious man, he was just a sick and twisted asshole.
Because of security settings on her Facebook, the original note can’t be viewed by just anyone. I grabbed the info and have created a page for you folks to read the story in Steve/Bertha’s own words. Please help her by spreading the story and leaving words of encouragement here in the comments section.
I truly believe that the sick bastards of the world who use God and the Bible to prey on the weaker and truly innocent need to be taught a harsh lesson. Whether you believe in heaven and hell or think that it’s all a load of supernatural hooey, the fact remains that these predators deserve an earthly punishment as well as whatever may be waiting for them in the supposed afterlife.

Another absolutely wonderful show. I knew when I scheduled this show that John Cord and Ricki Stern would be a great match. It was so good that John stayed on the line with us for the WHOLE show.
Our topic in this episode was religion and how it has been twisted and perverted into a big business venture for those who are about as Christian as I am a Cadillac. We poked a little fun at all aspects of religion and even delved into politics a bit.
Please feel free to open a dialogue about any of the things we said in this show via our comments section.
High Voltage – Wide Awake
Oogee Wawa – Pass Me A Drink
Red Mercury Blues Band – Your Biscuits Rise So Nice
Looney Train – Looney Train Anthem
Daylight Tremor – Our Different Colored Eyes
The Hushdown – Fools Parade

Tony Allotta – Umm Is Not An Answer

Well there weren’t any references to someone having a 1.5 inch penis, but this episode of Bad Ass Avenue is sure to deliver on content. Our guest was Ricki Stern (of Two O’Clock High) via telephone.
We covered a wide array of topics last night and we all went to bed feeling a little better about ourselves for having been able to eloquently and intelligently discuss things. No solutions were given, but the things we talked about weren’t necessarily things that could be “fixed”.
Give this show a listen and feel free to comment on anything you heard.

Two O’Clock High - Bitch (I’m Not Your Boyfriend)

The season is in full swing now and we had a much better show for you this time around. Not saying that the first MWR show wasn’t good, but I felt prepared for it today. We talked about links and had a few calls from our good friends.
We got a call from Robert Louis who filled us in on his summer and about his part in what we are doing in October. Mr. Louis will be one of the musical acts for the Fright Night Cancer Fight: The Sequel out at Kennedy’s Irish Pub in Waterford Michigan.
Also on the MWR hotline was our buddy Bill Squire, Bill called in between sets to talk about the gig we are doing together on the 23rd of this month. We’ll be down at Andrews on the Corner for a comedy show hosted by me, with special guest Rob Manier as the opening act.
Chase Bray – The End of Our Lives
Robert Louis – Take’m Down
Robert Louis – At Odds With the World
Fat Tree – Apparition
