Robert Louis Cooganson

Posted on 30 April 2011 by Odd

***NOTICE*** There is a few seconds of silence after you hit play. This happened due to setting up to broadcast through both mwr.com and Tapdetroit.com ***NOTICE***

Another absolutely awesome show in the books folks. My guests were local musicians Robert Louis and Brian Coogan and they rocked our little pseudio. Robert, Brian and myself laughed the night away in between finding a little more about them.

We played some local artists and just overall had a good time, in between Brian’s multiple trips to have a cigarette and his being the joke target for the night. Actually Brian and Robert are really nice guys and they both have a great sense of humor. This was illustrated when I went to help carry out equipment to their van and Robert bent over right in front of me and ripped ass. Thanks for the rose petals Robert!

BIG THANK YOU to Tapdetroit.com for simulcasting our little show.

Make The Choice, Be The Change (With John Sinclair)

Posted on 25 April 2011 by Odd

Last night we got the chance to speak to a man who is a living part of History. For those of you who aren’t familiar with John Sinclair, please open a new tab and do a google search for the man or just go pick up a history book and learn something.

We talked about the state of the world and the current climate of the counter culture as well as whether or not there is any hope left for the movement of free thought. We also covered the legalization of marijuana and whether or not commercial America will try to infuse poisons and cancer causing materials into “Legal Weed”.

John is a pretty laid back, cool cat. He has his own radio show, which is about to be syndicated through TapDetroit.com starting daily at Midnight on May 2nd. By all means, check that shit out and tell him Odd sent ya!

Two O’Clock High’d

Posted on 23 April 2011 by Odd

Greatest show ever! Ok, so maybe not really, bit it definitely is in my top 5 favorite shows. My guests were Two O’clock High in from Flint Michigan. The guys were supposed to do an interview, but I was still a bit out of it from being sick so it turned into what it turned into.

I manage to get a few questions in, but for the most part it was a total “guys club” show with crude humor and inside jokes flying everywhere….Some of which I was let in on. It’s good to be the king. I shot some video last night too, but it’ll take me a day or two to get that uploaded…maybe, depends on what is on my plate.

Following Sabudist’s Teachings

Posted on 18 April 2011 by Odd

In this episode of Bad Ass Avenue we change gears a little bit and do a Friday night show with a few Sunday night topics mixed in. My guests were Guy Williams (Boca Smole of My Head Radio) and John D. Green Sr. of the newly formed collaboration called Sabuda.

John and Guy sat down and talked about the things they’d like to accomplish with Sabuda and what their plans are for getting the music out to the masses. The tunes are great, I especially like the song Peppermill. After we found about the collaboration I got to know john a little better and found he is truly a Renaissance man. Not only is john the musical half of Sabuda, but he is also an actor and has appeared in several Michigan made independent flicks. With both Guy and John having their fingers in so many pies I am certain that this isn’t the last we have heard of these two. I predict they’ll be BIGGER than my old underwear…..Which now slide off me.

She Ran Away From Me

Posted on 11 April 2011 by Odd

In this Episode of Bad Ass Avenue we were supposed to be speaking with a woman about her son’s imprisonment and supposedly unjustified branding as a sex offender. This woman booked an interview with us about 2 or 3 weeks ago and then decided on Friday that I was a big bad scary man.

Liz carried the ball on this one, she booked the interview and spoke with the woman. When Liz found out what this lady’s issue was, she informed the woman that we are an equal opportunity show and are more than willing to let her express her viewpoint and try to rally support for her cause, BUT Liz informed her that I was on the opposite of the issue and did not support what this woman was trying to do. At the time she said “that’s fine” and that she wanted to do the show anyways. Then we entered Flakesville.

Look I know I am a bit rough and brash, I explained this to the woman at one point. I also told her that the goal of our show is to not do puff pieces and roll over for other people’s views, that our aim is to share multiple stances and have a free flow of ideas and conversations/debates. We’re no dummies, we can and often will challenge a view with well thought out intelligent arguments (usually) formed based on fact and research.

A. Lee Inn’s Attack!

Posted on 11 April 2011 by Odd

In this episode of Mad World Radio we speak with Author A. Lee Martinez about his books. We also goofed off on air, was a rough night for me cause my hips were aching from the impending weather at the time. I believe I even cut us short this night.

The first few minutes of the show I was screwing around with the effects on my mixer with my creepy little guy character. It only lasts for a few minutes and then we roll into the rest of the show. I am not gonna be long winded today since I still have Sunday’s show to post so…..enjoy the show!

Death by DVD once again invokes the holy trilogy, and does a special show all about zombies. Sure, weve discussed these films before...honestly weve talked about these movies a lot. To be totally on the up and up...those shows kinda sucked. I mean go back and listen to them, theyre pretty hideous. We do a special short show and talk about the core Romero zombie trilogy, as well as a few other worthy contenders.

Our 4th Birthaversary

Posted on 02 April 2011 by Odd

Break out the sparkling cider and the candy filled pinata’s cuz we’re turning four. Last night marked our 4th year on the air and we are thrilled to have lasted this long.

I am happy you guys have stuck with us and shown the love and support through these years. I was gonna go into a long drawn out sappy love note about the show and and what it means to me, but I think I’d rather just leave it at a simple thank you for the continued love and support.

We played a small bit of the very first episode for you. I hope you guys go and check out the past shows and see where it is we grew from.

Finally, a big congratulations to Raven & Goat for tying the knot…..it’s was difficult ceremony, raven wanted to us the knot for nesting material and Goat kept trying to eat it. Eventually though they were distracted just long enough for a kindly albeit crazy scientist to genetically fuse them together.

The Most Artistic Giant Mutated Killer Pig Movie Ever. We’ll Stake Our Careers On It – 四月 02,2011

Would you like to take a FREE stress test? If you would just step over here, I'll give you a FREE reading using my E meter...CRASH!!!! Back John Travolta! Back!!! Just one time you say you liked Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder and this is what you get. Being a film critic is hard work. It's not easy being an ass 24 hours a day 6 days a week (the 7th day is spoken for by our erotica collections). Death by DVD takes a step away from the "headier" subjects this week and get back to the basics...rubber monster basics. We do movies all containing crazy monsters and beasts in this exploration of everything good and sacred in the world. Why our we infinitely impressed and even awed by the simple joy of monsters taking a bite out of someone. I mean we could literally sit through a 48 hour straight marathon of nothing but cool creatures masticating on human flesh. We got demons, killer genetic freak dogs, mind warping attack slugs, giant pissed off wild boars and dragons. That's right folks get on your damn feet and give us adulation, I said DRAGONS! This show is gonna be like a redneck with a cadre of awful tattoo flash.
